As an IP Manager at a major telecommunications company, he specialized in patent portfolio management and employee invention law.

His work focuses on strategic IP consulting. With his technical background and practical experience as an IP Manager, he understands not only the legal but also the business aspects of patent protection. This dual perspective enables him to develop tailored IP strategies that are both legally sound and economically viable.

Bernd Bösherz advises clients across various technical fields, particularly in telecommunications (4G, 5G), standard-essential patents (SEP), electronics, as well as battery technologies and medical technology. Sebastian Goebel is a founding partner of Bösherz Goebel Patentanwälte and has been active in the field of intellectual property since 2013. He holds degrees in electrical and information engineering as well as laser and photonics. His technical specialization includes the protection of AI technologies and software — one of the most dynamic and legally challenging areas of modern patent law.

As a European Patent Attorney and European Patent Litigator, he has extensive experience in the filing, defense, and enforcement of patents, as well as in the strategic consulting on IP rights in the digital sphere.

Sebastian Goebel works with particular passion at the interface between technology and law, as well as across different technical fields. His interdisciplinary approach enables him to transcend traditional boundaries between electrical engineering, artificial intelligence, and other high technologies. He greatly enjoys following the rapid developments in AI and software technologies and translating them into legal value for his clients.

Dr. Samuel Königshofen studied physics, has been active in the field of intellectual property since 2019, and joined the team of Bösherz Goebel Patentanwälte in 2025. His main areas of practice include the automotive industry, mechanical and plant engineering, electrical engineering, mechanics, and materials science. In addition, Dr. Königshofen has extensive experience in trademark and design law.

Through his years of professional experience and training at a Düsseldorf law firm, he gained broad expertise in all areas of intellectual property. A particular focus of his work is the filing and defense of national and international patents and utility models.

Dr. Königshofen studied physics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, specializing in laser/plasma interaction and solid-state physics. As a doctoral researcher at the renowned Forschungszentrum Jülich, he conducted research on the interaction between organic molecules and magnetic thin-film systems. He received his PhD under the Jülich Model at the Institute of Physics of the University of Cologne.

Dr. Königshofen is a German Patent Attorney, a European Patent Attorney, and a qualified representative before the EUIPO. With his solid scientific background and extensive practical experience, he advises clients on strategic aspects of patent protection and ensures that their innovations receive optimal legal protection.

Michael Wannek is a European Patent Attorney and thus a qualified representative before the European Patent Office. In addition to his experience in the field of computer science, he has a technical background in systems engineering and biomedical engineering. This provides him with in-depth expertise at the interface between technology and innovation.

Since 2021, he has been active in the field of intellectual property, where he has gained extensive experience in drafting and enforcing technical intellectual property rights. As a European Patent Attorney, his focus lies on building IP portfolios and providing strategic representation in opposition proceedings.

He brings particular expertise in the fields of medical technology, electrical engineering, computer science, and artificial intelligence.
